If you press the hand transmitter and hear the opener system starting up but the door does not move, the door may be disengaged from the opener system. This means that the opener and door are disconnected from each other. In this case, all you have to do is re-engage the opener with the door or gate. There are particular instructions for doing so for different types of opener.

It is the intent of this manual to give the reader certain key points of information critical to the proper installation of the door operator. It is not intended to give comprehensive installation procedures nor does it cover the installation of door headers, tracks, hangers, etc.
When you re-engage the door or gate with the opener, it is extremely important to ensure that the door or gate is always in the same position as when it was disengaged from the opener! Otherwise, the door or gate may not stop and remain at the preset position, and this may cause the door or opener system to become damaged as a result.
Garage door
- Go to your opener system and pull the cord with the green ball handle until an audible clicking sound is heard. This means that the engaging mechanism has sprung into action.
- Move the door by hand until the sliding carriage engages with the rail track again with a second audible clicking sound. Your opener is now re-engaged with the door and the door should now move when the hand transmitter is pressed.

Swing door
- The engaging or disengaging mechanism is located under the protective flap on the opener head.
- Open this and activate the interlock either by pressing the red plastic bar downwards or by turning the Allen key provided in a clockwise direction. Your opener is now re-engaged and the door should move when the hand transmitter is pressed.
- Comfort 560: In our articulated arm opener, the engaging and disengaging mechanism can be accessed from the front of the opener system. Engage the opener again by turning the Allen key provided in a clockwise direction.
- Comfort 585, 586: The underground opener is engaged directly on the arm. To do so, please re-engage the black plastic lever with the arm. Your opener is now engaged again and the gate should now move when the hand transmitter is pressed.
- If necessary, you may have to release the engaging and disengaging mechanism beforehand with one of the keys provided if the mechanism is locked.
Sliding gate

- Comfort 860 (S) / 861 (S) bzw. 850 (S) / 851 (S): The engaging and disengaging mechanism is located inside the opener housing.
Please open the front cover of the aluminium housing using one of the keys provided.
Activate the red interlock on the motor in the interior of the housing using the socket key provided until the gear wheel at the rear re-engages with the toothed rack on the gate. - Comfort 880/881: You can easily re-engage the opener system and its plastic cover from the outside using the Allen key provided simply by turning it in a clockwise direction on the front of the opener.
